Purpose of Program:
To promote healthy aging.
To build self esteem & confidence.
To enable seniors to remain in their home for as long as possible with as much independence as possible.
To help seniors save money on food bills through use of the Brown Bag Program.
To help seniors stay informed on issues concerning them.
To provide a safe place to meet friends and to make new ones.
To give seniors the opportunity to participate in meaningful activities.

Impact of Senior Center Program:
The Senior Center helps the community to recognize seniors as a vital part of the community, and to understand that aging does not mean the loss of value as a person. Seniors who are active in the community help younger residents see that they can be a resourceful, helpful, and active person in the community at any age. The Senior Center helps in providing some respite for families caring for older relatives and gives seniors a place to get respite from relatives that they live with
