Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center’s mission is to help build healthy communities through individual, family, and neighborhood services. Over 4,000 individuals took part in our programs in the past year. Here are some highlights of our impact during 2023.
Every day the work that happens here makes our community healthier overall. Children grow up strong in spite of the challenges they face. Teens have support to stay in school and out of trouble. Seniors continue to live independently in the home of their choosing. The community as a whole is anchored by our work, which is made possible by your generosity.

- A Teen Center participant proudly walked the stage to receive his high school diploma, in spite of becoming unhoused during his senior year. His parents expressed their gratitude for the Teen Center staff and program always being there for their son and helping him achieve this life goal.
- A Summer Day Camp participant learned how to identify feelings and work through them instead of walking away or giving up. These new skills have improved her success at school, and she’s been able to help other participants learn how to talk things out.
- A senior joined our Senior Center following a serious physical setback, and was delighted to experience a sense of community and belonging that she had not known she needed. She experiences improved physical health and emotional well-being as result.
